After much consideration, we’ve made the difficult decision to transform Party for the Parks from our recent offering of party packages and tents into a celebration of gratitude for our city’s wonderful parks. In addition to a media and mailing campaign, we plan on asking communities to celebrate in September through our “Heart Your Parks” gratitude campaign.

The last few months have shown us how essential parks and public spaces are to our health, well-being, and to our larger sense of community. Despite all the uncertainties and challenges brought by this pandemic, these spaces continue to serve as a source of comfort for families and people of all ages. Though we cannot celebrate our parks together this year, they still need our support - now more than ever before.
